about

This song was a HUGE hit. Man we made a lotta coin on this baby. Sarcasm aside, people seemed to love this song. I was pretty attached to it, so much so that tweaked the melody and rewrote some of the lyrics - listen to the song, you'll see what I mean - so I could feel good about performing it in later years. The new version was recorded on an ep called Eelgirl.

lyrics

Chorus
There's a hole where my soul used to be
I let it fly away when I believed that I was free
LIke a bird to the south it flew right out of my mouth
now it's always winter inside of me

I filled that hole with drink
and it began to stink
I plugged it up with drugs
now it's festering with bugs
I filled it with my ego and existentialism
I stuffed it with my rock hard dick and a big fat wad of jism

Chorus

I thought I knew it all
but really I'm a dimwit
I thought the world was my mama
and I was sucking on her tit
Weak pink naked I'm just a baby man
and the metaphysical shit just hit the metaphysical fan

Chorus
